Russia’s health and wellness food group Wimm-Bill-Dann has announced plans to expand production of Agusha baby food and Imunele functional products in the Omsk region.
Located on the site of Wimm-Bill-Dann’s Manros-M factory, the new facility will supply Agusha and Imunele branded products to Russian regions from the Urals to the Far East. Representing an investment of US$14m, the site’s production capacity will exceed 50 tons per day.
A spokesperson for the company told just-food today (25 March) that it believes the move will increase the comapny’s presence in this far-flung region.
“We are already distributing in this region but the new plant will allow us to simplify logistics and to reduce transport expenses. And of course we are expecting an increasing of baby food sales in that region.”
