Proctor & Gamble is looking to expand in Russia – but was unable to confirm whether or not it intended to grow its food business in the country.
“Russia is a very interesting market and we hope to take advantage of opportunities that arise there,” a P&G spokesperson told just-food.
However, the company declined to comment on which product areas it hoped to develop.
Speaking in St Petersburg, P&G CEO Robert McDonald reportedly said: “The Russian market is outstanding, it’s a promising market which will continue to grow.”
He added that the group would hope to grow through organic expansion and acquisitions, but said no takeover targets had been identified.
