US natural and organic retailer Whole Foods Market is to open its first stores in the UK since before the economic crisis.
The company said last night (3 November) that a store in Glasgow would open late next year. An outlet in Richmond will open its doors in 2013.

Whole Foods has five stores in Greater London and plans for the two new outlets is the company’s first expansion in the UK since it opened its shop in Kensington in 2007.
Jeff Turnas, regional president of Whole Foods’ UK business, said the retailer had always had an “ambition” to open stores “the length and breadth” of the country.
“We are delighted to underscore our commitment to the UK and make this further investment in our business here,” Turnas said.
