ATLANTA/PRNewswire/ — The Board of Directors of The Coca-Cola Company (NYSE: KO – news) today elected Ellen Bovarnick vice president of the Company.
Ms. Bovarnick is vice president of Corporate Quality in the Company’s Technical Division, responsible for leading the continued implementation of the Company’s quality and environmental policies, programs and initiatives. Prior to joining the Company in 2001, Ms. Bovarnick, 47, was a vice president of Quality and Six Sigma, in the Aerospace Division of Honeywell International based in Phoenix, Ariz.
From 1996 to 2000, Ms. Bovarnick served as senior vice president for Six Sigma Quality for GE Capital Mortgage Corporation, where she created and led the deployment of quality and business improvement strategies.
Ms. Bovarnick was director of Total Quality for Colorado-based US WEST, Inc. from 1991 to 1996. From 1981 to 1991, Ms. Bovarnick was an associate of Florida Power & Light Company, where she rose to the rank of Coordinator of Benchmarking. She began her career with the United States General Accounting Office, serving as a management analyst from 1976 to 1981 in the Boston office.
Ms. Bovarnick holds a bachelor’s of science degree in business administration from Boston University’s School of Management and an MBA from the University’s Graduate School of Management. She is also a graduate of the University of Denver, College of Law. Ms. Bovarnick is a licensed attorney as well as a certified public accountant and certified internal auditor.
