Diners in the US are catching on to the most decadent new trend to emerge in recent years. Futons and beds are replacing the more conventional dining arrangement of tables and chairs, allowing romantic guests to have a nice meal while stretching out in comfort. Both Hollywood and Miami boast restaurants with comfortable, oversize beds where diners can relax and opt for the more seductive dining experience.

The trend first started in Amsterdam, the famously entertaining Dutch city. The Supper Club restaurant features long beds for diners to lounge on while eating finger food, but in the US restaurants such as B.E.D. and the Pig ‘N Whistle offer lazy diners comprehensive menus. Celebrities such as Matt Damon and Oliver Stone have already been attracted to the quirky restaurants.
