UK frozen food manufacturer Birds Eye is to launch into the takeaway sector with a raft of products.
The takeaway-style products include four variants; Hot and Spicy Burgers, Classic Crumb Goujons, Southern Fried Chicken Wings and a Southern Fried Combo Box.
Birds Eye said it wants to tap into a market that currently the “fastest growing sector” in frozen poultry, which has seen “consistent volume growth over the last two years”.
“We believe this range has huge potential to drive incremental sales and profits for retailers,” said Kate Jackson, brand manager at Birds Eye. “The new products provide an ideal solution for consumers who, due to a lack of confidence in quality, do not currently buy frozen takeaway and are looking for a trusted brand that all of the family can enjoy.
The products will be available to all accounts from the 1 September.
