As announced in February, Steve Reinemund officially stepped down as chairman of US food and drinks conglomerate PepsiCo yesterday (2 May).
Indra K. Nooyi, who was appointed chief executive officer in 2006, has now assumed the role of chairman.
Reinemund was the company’s chairman for five years from 2001 to 2006.
