US flavourings and ingredients group McCormick has appointed Gordon M. Stetz as executive vice president and chief financial officer.
Stetz succeeds Francis A. Contino, who retired from his positions as executive vice president for strategic planning and chief financial officer. Stetz, who joined McCormick in 1987, takes up his new position on 1 November.
McCormick’s chairman and CEO Robert J. Lawless described Stetz’s appointment as “another step to ensure an orderly transition of leadership responsibilities”.
Lawless added: “Gordon has long been recognised as a leader and a strategic thinker, and he has been a key contributor in the success of the company’s US consumer and European businesses. He will bring these same strengths and leadership to his new role. Gordon and Fran will work closely together over the next several months to ensure a smooth transition and continued focus on our strong financial success.”
Stetz held a number of financial posts at McCormick before taking on his current role as vice president of finance in the company’s European division.
