“We know independent grocers want to either establish themselves on the Internet, or find a way to make their web sites give real benefits to their shoppers,” said Leib Lurie, President of BeeLine Shopper. “The complete, customized Internet package we offer gets grocers into the action quickly, and includes combined health and wellness information, savings opportunities and access to a huge collection of recipes – we make it easy and cost-effective for grocers to step into the 21st Century.”
BeeLine Shopper has created and is hosting the customized web site for Findlay, Ohio-based grocer Fresh Encounter, who operates more than 30 grocery stores in Ohio and Indiana. The site includes important store information, links to BeeLine’s Ultimate Cookbook of 65,000 recipes, as well as other services offered by Fresh Encounter stores.
“We need to get closer to our shoppers and provide exciting and fresh features and services. BeeLine helps us do that,” said Eric Anderson, Executive Vice President of Marketing for Fresh Encounter.
Busch’s, a 12-store grocer based in Ann Arbor, Michigan, has signed on with BeeLine for their web site to be created and hosted as well as offering BeeLine’s scanning and nutrition service as part of a Whole Health program. Busch’s also uses the M-Fit Shelf Labeling program, a healthy rating system that was developed by the University of Michigan’s School of Health and is marketed through BeeLine to grocers.
“Our experience with the M-Fit nutritional shelf labeling program has been very positive,” said Peggy Conlin, Vice President of Marketing for Busch’s. “BeeLine adds many more SKUs and reduced store labor for a more comprehensive program.”
