Meals.com Inc., a subsidiary of Coinstar Inc. (Nasdaq:CSTR – news), today announced a partnership agreement with Mom.com, a Web site dedicated to helping busy moms.
Under the agreement, Meals.com will supply recipe and meal planning tools to the site, found at www.mom.com. Today’s announcement follows news released yesterday that Meals.com is partnering with two other Internet companies, Food.com, www.food.com, a leader in the on-line dining industry and BlueSuitMom.com, www.bluesuitmom.com, a site that caters to working mothers.
“Meals.com is looking for partners that share our goal of helping consumers save time and money.” said Jens Molbak, CEO of Meals.com. “Mom.com’s users should enjoy the features and recognize the value Meals.com can bring to a busy household.”
“We’re very excited about adding the wonderful resources of Meals.com to our site,” said Tom Loveland, CEO of Mom.com. “Our visitors span the whole spectrum of the Mom experience, from working professionals to housewives, home-based entrepreneurs to soccer moms. Providing excellent and easy-to-use recipes is a valuable feature for the busy and time-challenged Mom.”
Meals.com uses advanced technology to create a “smart” Web site with a robust back-end database structure and sophisticated personalization capabilities. Visitors to its branded (www.meals.com) site and rapidly growing list of private-label sites can efficiently search a 10,000 recipe database. Registered users can employ personalized tools such as “My Cookbook” and “My Shopping List” to save favorite recipes and automatically generate convenient shopping lists. With each visit, Meals.com learns consumer preferences so it can make intelligent meal recommendations.
