Marr SpA, the leading Italian player in food service distribution to the non-domestic catering industry, has purchased meat processing and catering group Prohoga for EUR4.3m (US$5.149m).
Based in Trentino, Prohoga reported annual turnover in 2005 of EUR25m. The company has a 4,000-strong customer base and is active in the distribution of food to hotels, ANSA reports.
The deal is a continuation of Marr’s strategic plan to strengthen its Italian distribution network.
