Japan’s Itoham Foods has reportedly signed an exclusive sales agreement to sell cheese made by New Zealand Milk, part of New Zealand dairy giant Fonterra, on the Japanese market.


Itoham will import New Zealand Milk cheese to sell in supermarkets and other retail outlets in Japan, starting in May, according to the Nikkei Report.


The Japanese company hopes to sell ¥4bn (US$38.6m) worth of New Zealand Milk products in fiscal 2006, the report said.
