Australia ranked 14th in the World Bank’s Doing Business Report (2020). In the 2019 report it finished 18th. In the World Economic Forum’s Global Competitiveness Report (2019), Australia finished 16th, after ranking 16th in 2018.

Public healthcare expenditure totalled $90.9bn and private healthcare expenditure equalled $40.3bn in 2018.

The largest urban areas in Australia are Sydney (5.3 million people), Melbourne (5.1 million) and Brisbane (2.5 million).
