WORLD: Governments join forces to increase global food security

The UN food agency announced yesterday [Monday] that delegates from 120 countries around the world will sit down together at the end of this month to discuss global food security in the light of BSE and other food safety crises.
A three-day meeting will be held in Marrakesh, Morocco, starting 28 January. It is co-organised by the UN Food and Agriculture Organisation and the World Health Organisation. Approximately 300 experts on food safety will attend the meeting.
