The HJ Heinz Company has linked its Heinz Ketchup brand with the new Trivial Pursuit Totally 80s Edition, by printing questions on packets and related prizes.
The link-up includes the distribution of more than 200m packets to foodservice operations throughout the US.
Consumers have to visit the contest website to respond to questions and enter the name and location of the restaurant/foodservice operation they received the packet to enter, for the chance to win a US$2,500 grand prize and hundreds of Trivial Pursuit Totally 80s Edition games, which focus on fun 80s trivia.
“There’s a certain nostalgia that people have for the 80s, so we’re giving consumers a chance to reminisce about that special time in their lives while enjoying the Ketchup they’ve loved all along,” said Rebecca Serafini, senior brand manager of ketchup, condiments and sauces at Heinz Foodservice. “As we kick off the world’s largest Trivial Pursuit game, we know this is a great partnership that naturally equals fun for everyone.”
