IT jobs accounted for a 1.41% share in the industry’s total hiring activity in September 2022, registering a decrease of 0.45% over the last three-month average share.
Database and Network Administrators and Architects Occupations leads by classification in September 2022
Database and Network Administrators and Architects Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in South & Central America with a share of 36.36% in September 2022, a 60% rise over the previous month. Computer and Information Analysts came in next, claiming a share of 27.27% in September 2022, marking a 33.33% month-on-month decline. In the third place was Miscellaneous Computer Occupations with a share of 18.18% in September 2022, a flat growth from August 2022.

GraceKennedy posted 7 IT jobs in September 2022 and registered a flat growth over the previous month, followed by BRF with 6 jobs and a 50% drop. JBS with 4 IT jobs and Nestle with 2 jobs, recorded a 33.33% rise and a 33.33% drop, respectively, while Bunge recorded a flat growth with 2 job postings during September 2022.

Brazil commanded a leading presence in the region’s food industry IT hiring activity with a 54.55% share in September 2022, a 40% decrease over August 2022. Jamaica featured next with a 31.82% share, flat growth over the previous month. Argentina recorded a 4.55% share, a flat growth compared with August 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in September 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 77.27%, down by 5.56% from August 2022. Mid Level positions with a 13.64% share, registered a decline of 25% compared with the previous month.
