Belgian frozen vegetable processor Dujardin Foods is to acquire its Spanish counterpart Congelados De Navarra for an undisclosed sum.

Dujardin, one of the top three Belgian frozen vegetable producers, is on the lookout for further acquisition opportunities, chairman Philippe Haspeslagh said. Its consolidated annual turnover is in excess of €150m (US$179.4m) and it employs some 700 members of staff.
The Spanish company is a European market leader in the production of frozen broccoli, reported Belgian business news portal zakelijk internet. It already exports 57% of its output to Belgium.
