US fresh produce company Chiquita Brands International has named Michel Loeb as president of Chiquita Fresh Group – Europe.

Loeb served most recently as managing director in the UK and marketing director for Europe, Africa and Near East for S.C. Johnson and Son. In his new position Loeb will be responsible for all aspects of Chiquita’s operations in Europe.
“Michel’s consumer marketing experience will be invaluable as we take advantage of the European Union enlargement and leverage the Chiquita brand to launch new value-added, fruit-based products,” said CEO Fernando Aguirre.
