Swiss food giant Nestlé is to cut 270 jobs at a factory that produces Easter eggs and Quality Street confectionery.
The jobs at the plant in Halifax, west Yorkshire, will be phased out over an 18-month period beginning in June, reported the Guardian.
Nestlé said it plans to create 200 seasonal positions at the factory, which produces more than a million boxes of Quality Street and 25 million Easter eggs each year.
The factory, which belonged to Rowntree before it was bought by Nestlé, employs almost 700 people.
