Small French bakery group Albatros has won an order with McDonald’s to supply croutons to over 5,000 of the fastfood chain’s outlets in Europe.

Based in Vendee, in western France, Albatros will produce 26 million sachets of croutons annually for the fastfood group’s new range of salad dishes.


Boosted by the McDonalds’s order, Albatros’ turnover is expected to rise to €18.4m (US$22.4m) this year compared to €16.5m in 2003.
