John Von Spreckelsen, chairman of UK grocery retail group Somerfield, reportedly plans to reduce his responsibilities and appoint a new chief executive of the group.
Somerfield’s group finance director, Steve Back, is the favourite for the chief executive post, Dow Jones reported, citing a story in the Sunday Express.
According to the newspaper report the management changes, if they go ahead, would take place after Somerfield’s annual meeting in September.
